I love the fact that I can make things as fancy or as plain as I like. I can change the look of a store bought outfit by adding a monogram or a little flower.
I’m really looking foward to this sites opening.

My two most favorite past times, sewing and using my embroidery machine. What more could a person ask for?
Thank you for the new site! I already know i will love it.
Embroidery has opened a whole new world of crafting for me. I can take a purchased baby blanket and make it a cherished shower gift, or whip up an adorable holiday shirt for my kids to wear with a shirt from Target. It is also so satisfying to take something I’ve made and add embroidery to make it look so much more finished. It is an craft, trade, or skill for some, that has endless possibilities.
My Husband got me a new sewing/embroidery machine for christmas (acctually a few months before b/c we got a good deal!) But it is wonderful and I have made so many neat things with it. I am still learning but one thing I have loved to make has been birthday and christmas bags with embroidered names and designs on them. They replace wrapping paper and the kids can use them over and over. It also helps to keep all the kids stuff in one place when visiting with family!! I also have friends and family asking for me to monogram special things for them. I love to sew and embroidery adds a special touch to all those items/gifts I make for loved ones! Thanks for the new site and I can’t wait to see what you have instore for us!
I love embroidery, I have 3 machines that can do embroidery. I started 14 years ago with one of the first Bernina embroidery machines. Everything is so much easier now. I am pretty experienced, just because of the friends and classes I have taken.
I have a 2 year old grandaughter, I have new patterns and fabric I have collected, I can’t wait to start on little sundresses with the bloomers.
I make lots of purses and totebags with embroidery.
It is especially fun to decorate the plain t-shirts from Target.
Thanks for the new site.
I enjoy adding a special design to an ordinary item. I love to sew pillowcases and personalize them as birthday gifts.
Response to “favorite gift to embroider”
I think my favorite was a pair of monogrammed slippers I did as a bridal shower gift. I was originally thinking they would be something to wear on the honeymoon, but the bride was happy to kick off her heels at the reception and wear them to dance in. I had monogrammed white slippers in her bridal party colors and they were a huge hit. The photographer even took a picture for their album
My first love is sewing. I started when I was 13 years old. I have 2 sewing machine and I got my first embroidery machine 2 years ago and just got my 2nd. I teach all my cousins and nieces to sew and my 7 year old nephew has been sewing for 2 years now.
I often have play dates and let children from all over the neighborhood come over and pick a design and embroidery their own shirts.
I love to add embroidery to anything!! but my personal favorite thing to embroidery is clothing that I have made from scratch. I love putting 2 or more designs together to create a scene or story.
I make custom bridal gowns and flower girls. I specialize in hand custom silk ribbon embroidery. Will this web site have ideas for hand embroidery as well, as machine?

When I first got my Bernina 180, I fell in love with a very dense Paw Print from Emblibrary and took it on. I didn’t know what I was doing , and it had about 50,000 stitches in it and incorporated a picture inside a paw print. Well, about three or four hours later I had the most unique sweatshirt and wore it whenever I could because of all the attention it received. I thought it was beautiful- and it was. I still have it and it always gets the same attention. I guess it is my favorite because it turned out so well and I was turning out some turkeys in those days of early embroidering. I also did a similar project for my daughters MIL and she was so thrilled. That’s when I learned about the importance of skilled digitizing.

I have read all the articles about the fair crafts. I want to start a craft business at my home first and see how it goes. I live in Spain and thing are different then the USA. How do I start? Can you publish in the future (soon) an article about this, please? Also, let me congratulate you on the tutorials and all the articles , besides being very, very interesting are very helpful, at least for me.
Thank you and God Bless you.
Job well done.
